Salon-Smooth Hair in Seconds ā Anywhere
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes ceramic plates better than metal plates for hair straightening?
Ceramic plates heat evenly across the entire surface, eliminating hot spots that metal plates create and that cause localised heat damage and breakage. Ceramic also emits negative ions during use, which seal the hair cuticle, reduce frizz, and add shine. The smooth ceramic surface glides through hair with less friction, causing less mechanical damage per pass.
How many passes should I make through each section?
Aim for 1 to 2 slow, smooth passes per section. Multiple fast passes generate more cumulative heat damage than a single slow pass at the correct temperature. Work in small sections no more than 2 to 3 centimetres wide. Always use a heat protectant before straightening.
Can the steam function be used on all hair types?
Yes. The mini steam function adds controlled moisture during straightening, preventing the brittleness and dryness that dry heat causes. It is particularly beneficial for curly, afro-textured, and chemically processed hair. The steam does not make hair wet ā it provides just enough moisture to keep the hair shaft hydrated during the process.
How long does it take to heat up and is there an auto-shutoff?
The straightener reaches styling temperature in approximately 15 to 30 seconds. An automatic safety shutoff activates after 30 minutes of non-use to prevent overheating. Always switch it off manually after each styling session and allow it to cool on a heat-resistant surface before storing.
